On the 6th & 7th July 2013 City of Liverpool Gymnastic Club
competed at the LG Arena in Birmingham
for the prestigious 2013 British Championships Titles in Age Groups Categories and Senior Men & Woman Trampoline Gymnastics! The Club come away with a tonne of medals including many British Champions
making them number 1 in the Country, something worth celebrating!
Some of the British Champions at the Club included; Senior Title Nicole Short GOLD (DMT which stands for Double Mini-Trampoline) Nicole will now go onto to Represent GB at the World Championships in Colombia later on this month) Although Nicole has been a Gymnast for many years She’s only been training in DMT for 12 Months so Her achievements at the British Championships where outstanding!
Junior Titles; Rhys Northover GOLD (DMT & SYNCHRO) Rhys Northover was also presented with the Paul Luxon award for form and won another Silver medal in the Individual Trampoline section of the Competition so an amazing weekend for him!
Ben Atkins GOLD (SYNCHRO), Daniel Sale GOLD (SYNCHRO). Ben Atkins & Daniel Sale pulled off a beautiful routine at the LG Arena were they had to perform gymnastic moves on the Trampoline in unison! Synchro takes many hours of training to perfect and you could of heard a pin drop whilst the two boys were executing their moves at the Arena!
10 Year old Samuel Ramos the youngest 2013 British Champion at the Club won GOLD for (DMT)! This was Samuel Ramos’s very first British Championships and to come away with a gold medal in the under 13 years category was just brilliant! Hot on Samuel’s heels was His talented Team mate 9 Year old Jamie Canning who won a fantastic silver Medal in the same category!

All the Gymnasts have exciting futures ahead of them and in particular Men’s Trampoline Gymnast Luke Strong who came away with a Silver Medal at the Championships and Senior Woman Trampoline Gymnast Emma Smith who won a bronze medal!Emma smith scored 53.180 with the winner scoring being just 53.530 ahead of her, so you can see just how close Emma was to winning the Title! Both Luke and Emma qualified for the finals in first place!
Luke and Emma are part of the 2016 Olympic Cycle and are training 6 days a week to make the Olympic GB Team! All the Gymnasts train mostly 6 days a week and this just shows how dedicated and commitment they are to their sport.

After the London 2012 Games inspired a whole new generation…. lets now Meet the new kids on the block at “City of Liverpool Gymnastic Club” Samuel Ramos & Jamie Canning!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn’t take a genius to workout that City of Liverpool Gymnastic Club have been produced amazing Gymnast for many Years, with some of their Elite Senior Gymnasts already thinking ahead and training hard for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio!!!
But isn’t it always exciting when new talent comes knocking on the Door… and this time its in the form of 9 Year old’s Samuel & Jamie!!!! Two young boys from Liverpool who have been going from strength to strength since they started training at the Club 12 months ago!!!

Quote from Head Trampoline Coach “Jay Scouler” It’s a really exciting time for Gymnastics in Liverpool, both in our Elite Programmes of Trampoline and Woman’s Artistic as were continuing to build upon the successes of Liverpool’s Olympic Medalist Beth Tweedle and all the other Gymnasts that have come out of Park Road in recent years. Samuel came from a Sport called Tumbling Gymnastics while Jamie came through the Trampoline Academy Sessions. The Boys are a real success stories having qualified in all 4 of their regional Grades 1st time round!!!!!
After Samuel and Jamie sailed through the qualifying stages earlier on in the Year, they now have their first National level Competition in Hull at the end of March to look forward too and then onto The “British Championships”, taking place at the NEC Birmingham in July!

Best of Friends….
Samuel and Jamie are both very Competitive with each other, but at the end of each training session they are the very best of Friends and its just as well they get along, because aside from competing in “Individual Trampoline” they have now been paired up to do “Synchronized Trampoline” which will involve the Boys having to performing gymnastic moves in unison! This will take many hours of training for the boys to perfect, but with the Boys being so dedicated to their sport I’m sure they will handle it extremely well!

Samuel and Jamie are two really exciting Gymnasts with a bright future ahead them and Its with special thanks to their Head Coach “Jay Scouler” having the knowledge and talent to bring the very best out of them both! We wish them all lots of success in the future!
Samuel Ramos A Young Gymnast will be reaching for the stars at the Nickelodeon Award Show!
Young future Olympian and local Gymnast has been Nominated for a TV Nickelodeon Award! 9 year old Samuel Ramos from St Luke Halsall Junior School in Crosby has amazed the Nickelodeon Judges with His outstanding Gymnastic skills, naming Him the human boomerang after seeing pictures capturing Samuel being launched 10 feet in the air whilst He performed multiple somersaults on top of a bridge!
Samuel first made national news when He was just 6 Years old for His amazing daredevil skills on the trampoline performing moves usually demonstrated by Gymnast more than double His age.
Samuel now trains Gymnastics with His Coach and Father Marcelo de Ramos and Trampolining with Coach Jay Scouler at the prestigious City of Liverpool Trampoline Club. He come’s from a extremely sporty family, with his eldest Brother Jordan Ramos who’s 16, being a Guinness World Record Breaker and Tumbling Gymnastic Champion, having represented GB at World and European Championships! Both His Parents Marcelo and Anita are also into sport and fitness with His Mother being a fitness Instructor and His Father boosting acrobatic stunts such as somersaulting backwards over cars with an effective and cheap van insurance
and diving through a hoops of razor sharp knives! let not forgot samuel’s little brother Baby Rio who is just 2 Years old and has just receieved His first made to measure gymnastic costume from Milano Pro Sport along with a new bob 2016 revolution flex stroller

Samuel has been nominated for an award in the rising sports stars category were he will compete for the public vote against other talented kids! The Award Show will be filmed on the 21st July at the ICC in Birmingham and will Air on TV in August. The Awards Show promises an array of Celebrity Guests and Performances.

OLYMPIC TORCH COMES TO LOCAL BOYS GYMNASTIC CLUB IN LIVERPOOL!
Local Boy Samuel Ramos who trains with Coach Jay Scouler at the prestigious City of Liverpool Trampoline Club, was delighted when the Olympic torch arrived at His Gymnastic Club today (30th May 2012)! Samuel who studies at St Lukes Halsall School in Crosby said “I couldn’t believe it when the torch arrived at the club all the gymnastics were really excited and we couldn’t wait to have our picture taken”. No one could concentrate on their training as everyone wanted to stop and have a look at it up close”.
9 Year old Samuel is a talented young Gymnast and is hoping that in the future He will be good enough to represent GB doing trampolining at the Olympic Games !
Samuel’s Dad (Marcelo de Ramos) quotes” It was so nice for all the gymnasts including Samuel to get the opportunity to see the Olympic torch up close. Their was a real buzz at the club and in particular amongest the Junior Gymnasts”.
After seeing the Torch for real, Samuel is now even more determined to compete at the Olympics when He’s older!
